What is the National Online Registry (NOR) Motor Carrier Information Exchange (MCInfo)?
NOR’s MCInfo system provides insurance companies the ability to exchange motor carrier insurance information with participating states using an efficient online process.
Users from enrolled insurance companies and managing general agents (MGAs) can log in to their MCInfo accounts to submit motor carrier insurance documentation, track the progress of filings, and download copies of documents filed through MCInfo.
Similarly, users from participating states can log into their MCInfo accounts to review motor carrier insurance documentation and approve and reject filings.
Whenever a filing is approved or rejected, filers are notified via automated emails sent through the MCInfo system.
MCInfo also allows insurance companies to submit a form to multiple states at the same time. Insurance users pay a convenience fee of $5.50 per form, per state.
You can also use MCInfo to generate and print paper forms for the states that don’t participate in the online system.
